57 yr old male Acute GE with pyrexia under evaluation








This is an online E log book to discuss our patient's de-identified health data shared after taking his/her/guardian's signed informed consent.

Here is a case i have seen: A 57 yr old male patient came with c/o fever since 12 days 
C/o pain in the epigastric region since 10 days 
Patient was apparently asymptomatic 12 days back which was insidious in onset high grade intermittent associated with chills for 4 days fever free period for 3 days 
He developed fever high grade associated with chills releived on medication 
H/o pain in epigastrium ,h/o vomiting 4 days back for 1 day 
5 episodes -contains food particles non foul smelling non bilious 
H/o loose stools 4 days back -4 episodes 
K/c/o DM since 5 years on metformin 500 mg 
Not k/c/o HTN ,asthama,epilepsy ,TB
General examination 
Patient is conscious coherent coperative 
Temp -103 F
PR-98bpm
RR- 20 cpm 
Bp-110/70 MMhg 
Spo2 -98%@RA
GRBS - 169mg%
Cvs -s1s2 +
Respiratory system -BAE+
P/A-soft non tender
